Long time no see, I know. What can I say, RL gets away from us all. :P Here's a general update:
Went to comic con. Will attempt to do a post on that ASAP, but I've been having issues with pictures. Also, as a bit of random: If anybody has seen any pictures of a steampunk Ariel costume from this year's con, could you let me know? That was one of my costumes, and I realized after the convention that I didn't have any pictures of the full costume. :( I got stopped a LOT as far as pictures, but its still a pretty slim chance somebody's seen them, but I figured I'd throw it out there just in case.
Got Married: It was wonderful and fantastic and I'm super excited and in love with my wonderful husband. We are currently enjoying wedded bliss and have become complete hermits who play videogames, board games and wach Netflix all the time. The beautiful
elocinmuse (previously known as
shadow71689) traveled all the way from her home to be one of my bridesmaids! To think that 3 and a half years ago the two of us started out as online stalker and stalkee--I never would have guessed she'd be a bridesmaid at my wedding!

We just adopted a kitten! We found her outside our local church house. She is a gray tabby with some orange in her fur. We have named her Pabu after the fire ferret in Legend of Korra (highly recommended show!) due to some shared personality traits, including a love of noodles. She's one of the funniest most entertaining cats I've ever owned. She's a fierce blanket mouser and a huge spaz.
I recently watched the latest season of Bones, and it was rather refreshing. I took a break from it for basically the entire season, and it was easier and less emotionally frustrating to watch it again. I also have started rewatching Chuck. Still need to get my hands on the last season. Other shows I've been watching lately with hubby are the Guild, Cheers, The New Girl, Dinosaurs aaaand....something else. Can't remember.
STILL looking for a job. For anybody who's kept track, I've been looking since February. As this is a huge political hot button, I will not voice my opinions on this, but suffice to say, I am frustrated.
And last but not least (and related to the previous...) I am offering my services! I designed a pair of Dr Who shoes for my sister and then the lovely
mae_stark. I've also done a pair of Mass Effect ones for myself:

I won't be doing that particular Dr Who design again-I want to try and keep each design unique, but I have similar ideas in mind and sketched out. I've also got a sample pair of hodgepodge shoes that have a bunch of other ideas such as Captain America, Iron Man, Pikachu/Pokemon, Super Mario Bros, etc. I'll be posting those ones as soon as they're finished. The way I did it for
mae_stark and my sister to keep costs down was to have them provide the shoes (canvas shoes work best ie. Toms, Keds, Vans, Converse) and shipping and then charge a bit for the labor, however I would be able to factor myself buying the shoes in if that's easiest for you. At the moment, I'll probably keep things stateside, as right now as far as I have investigated, international shipping is NOT cheap.
Like I said, if you're interested, PLEASE drop me a line. I love doing it, and I feel like a LOT of the custom shoes out there are pretty overpriced. At the same time, while I do like to keep things as close to at cost as possible, any extra income would be fantastic as I have been unemployed for seven months.
